The Lost Woods

Ok, so you’re back at the lost woods. Here you will encounter the owl again. Just listen to what he has to say, then go back to the Kokiri forest then turn around and enter the Lost Woods again. Turn right and you should see a target hanging from a tree. Go down the ladder then stand on the tree stump. Equip your Fairy Ocarina and a message should show to tell you to just follow along. You should get a Green Rupee for doing 5 notes, Blue Rupee for 6 notes and if you agree yet again you have to memorize and play 8 notes. For this you get a Piece of Heart.

Go up the ladder and take the path in front of you. Just keep going straight and jump onto the tree stump and press the C button for your Fairy Ocarina. Play Saria's Song while standing on this stump and the kid will give you yet another Piece of Heart. This should be your fourth heart to complete a full Heart Container.

Find the path which you did not come from and this should lead you to a place with pillars. Jump to the bottom and run to the far end. You will find a Deku Scrub behind one of the pillars. Use your shield to bounce a Deku Nut back at him. After doing so approach the Deku Scrub and speak to him. You can a Deku Stick upgrade from him - for 40 Rupees it will allow you to carry around 20 Deku Sticks. There is a long ladder back on the opposite side, take it and leave the woods.

You will now be heading to Kakariko Village. Leave Kokiri Forest and head for the Hyrule Field. You will find Kakariko Village near the drawbridge to the Hyrule Market. East of the bridge you will find a river with a bridge that will lead you to stairs leading up into the mountains. Go up these stairs and follow the path into Kakariko Village.
