Sacred Forest Meadow

Upon reaching the gate of the Sacred Forest Meadow a wolf pops up out of the ground that you will have to defeat. Take out your shield and target the wolf with the L/Z button while holding your shield with the R button to deflect its attacks. Just right after it attacks, press the A button to do the jumping slash. Do a number of these strikes and that should take care of it.

In the beginning of the next section make a right and follow this path to a couple of Deku Scrubs. You can easily kill them and then make your way up to the top until you reach the stairs.

Turn around and notice the ladder on the wall. Climb this ladder and in the middle there is another ladder and an area where you can jump down. Find a hole down at the bottom of this area. Drop into this hole and when you reach the bottom you'll find a Fairy Fountain. Fairies have the power to heal you, and you can capture them and place them in bottles so that when you die, your fairy in a bottle will automatically revive you. Leave the Fair Fountain and climb up the ladder outside. Go back to that large staircase and climb it to reach the top. Here you will find Saria, who will teach you Saria’s song. Now go back to the Lost Woods.
