Kakariko Village

Wait until night time to enter Kakariko Village. You’ll find a number of Gold Skulltulas here that I suggest you deal with first. Enter the village and go past the tree in the middle. Take the first right and go up the stairs. Again make a right at the top of the stairs and you will see a Skulltula crawling on the side of the house. Kill it and pick up a Gold Skulltulla. Go back to the tree in the middle of town, this time keep moving in the same direction as when you come in from the entrance of town.

Climb the stairs straight ahead then turn around to find another set of stairs that lead to a brick area. Here you will find another Skulltula crawling – you know what to do. Kill it and get another gold skulltulla. Come in from the entrance to the village again and this time turn left to find yet another set of stairs. Go up and pull out your Fairy Slingshot and aim up at it. Crawling around on the ladder is another Skulltula, fire two Deku Seeds at this enemy and then climb up the ladder to acquire another gold skulltulla.

Look for the path to the Kakariko Village Graveyard at the south east corner. As you approach the graveyard you will come across an old man named Dampe who offers to dig up a portion of the ground for the low low price of 10 Rupees. For this you get a Piece of Heart. Head over to the east side of the graveyard and stand on the Triforce emblem on the ground. Use your Fairy Ocarina and play Zelda's Lullaby - left, up, right, left, up, right. After doing this there is a large explosion and the tombstone is destroyed, revealing a path down into the ground. Jump down and you’ll reach the Royal Tomb.

You will see 4 bats on the walls – use your Fairy Slingshot and shoot them. Once done you will be able to go through the door. At the other end you will encounter zombies – watch out for their stare. They have the power to freeze you just by looking at you and you won’t be able to move. Don’t mind the zombies. Just try to head towards the door. At the other end you will find some writings on the wall as well as a melody written. Try to play the melody and you will have learned Sun’s Song. Go back to the entrance of the tomb and step on the glowing platform to get outside.

Go back to the graveyard and play the Sun's Song again – this will turn change the time to night again. You will notice that most of your tasks here in the graveyard require you to do them at nighttime. Go back to the entrance of the graveyard and follow the path up past the first row of tombstones to reach the second row on the east side. The fourth tombstone from the right (south) is going to have a hidden path below it – go down and deal with the zombie. Use your Fairy Ocarina and play the Sun’s Song –

Right, Down, Up, Right, Down, Up.

Once done a treasure chest should appear. Open it and acquire your sixth Piece of Heart.

Go back to the entrance of the graveyard and find the tombstone that has 3 plants growing in front of it. Hold on to this tombstone with the A button and then pull it backward. You will find a hole with a chest that contains a Hylian Shield. If you remember you saw one of these things in the market – now you have one for free!Leave the grave and Kakariko village. Play the Sun's Song to change to daytime, then go back again.

At the entrance of the graveyard you will find a woman with her hands on her face. Speaking to her you will discover that she needs to bring back her Cuccos to the pen. The first can be found walking around near the entrance of the graveyard. Take it with the A button and put it in the fenced area. The second Cucco is at the entrance of the village. Get that one and then run all the way east up the stairs, and turn around to find another set of stairs going up to an incomplete brick house. You’ll notice that when you jump off a cliff carrying a Cuccos, you are able to glide because of the flapping of their wings. Use this technique to off the edge of this incomplete house and glide directly west to reach the little raised ledge with the Cucco, behind that fence that you could not access otherwise. Throw your Cucco back down into the middle of town and take this one over to the chicken coop.

Go back to the main middle area of town and find a crate against the house when you face northeast. Break this crate by rolling into it and grab the Cucco, and again bring it back to the chicken coop. From the middle of town take the large north set of stairs up toward the path that leads to Death Mountain, you should come across another Cucco there. Pick up this Cucco and bring it back to the girl. Grab hold of the fourth one, which is the one you threw off the edge when you landed and got the Cucco behind the fence. Don't throw it back, but head toward the graveyard entrance, climb the stairs leading north. You should still have the Cucco in hand. You’ll have to jump off the smaller fence which extends out further, otherwise you will not be able to make it.

After you land beside the door face the main area where you just came from and throw the Cucco back. Jump down behind you and you'll land beside a hole, drop down into the hole and find a small treasure chest which contains a Red Rupee. Climb out of this hole and then go north to find a Cucco beside the ladder. Lift it up and throw it over the fence like you did the other one. Now climb that fence up to where the windmill is and grab the final Cucco. Use this one to glide back across and throw it into the chicken coop. Now all you have to do is find those two which you threw over the fence for later and you have all 7 Coccos. For all your work the girl will give you another Empty Bottle.

Next go to the House of Skulltula. When you enter the village from Hyrule Field, keep right, up the stairs and turn right again. You should now find the entrance to the House of Skulltulla. You will find people here that have been imprisoned by Skulltula. The way to free them is by collecting Gold Skulltula tokens. Once you have collected ten, the guy on the right is freed and for that he will reward you with the Adult’s Wallet.

Leave the village and head across the bridge and into Hyrule Castle Town. Don’t go into the market, instead go through the door beside the drawbridge entrance. You will find Rupees here that you can fill you new wallet with. There are two crates at the back of the room - break them open, one will reveal a Skulltula inside. Defeat this enemy to get your eleventh Gold Skulltulla. Head back to Kakariko Village once again. Approach the guard beside the gate at the north side of town. Equip Zelda's Letter on one of your C buttons and use it while standing in front of him. He then lets you pass and you will now take Death Mountain Trail.
